GrapheneOS Pixel Compatibility Checker

GrapheneOS only runs on Google Pixel hardware, and not every Pixel is a sensible buy for it. Device support is tied to Google's own firmware end-of-life dates: once Google stops shipping firmware for a model, GrapheneOS can no longer fully patch it, no matter what the software does. A phone that looks like a bargain second-hand can be one that stops receiving security fixes next year.

This checker answers the three questions that actually decide the purchase. Is my Pixel supported? How long will it keep getting full security patches? And is it still worth buying new?

It covers every model from the Pixel 6 through the Pixel 10 series, including the Pixel 8a, the Pixel Fold and the Pixel Tablet, and flags the two that are closest to end of life — the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, whose Google firmware support ends in October 2026. Anything at or below the Pixel 5a has been dropped entirely.

One thing matters regardless of which model you pick: buy it unlocked, direct from Google. Pixels sold through carriers can ship with a permanently locked bootloader, and GrapheneOS cannot be installed on a device whose bootloader cannot be unlocked. No software update fixes that.
